Question on electric power

When hooked to an external generator (30amp), does the power go through the converter/inverter first?

The reason I'm asking, is if the battery Disconnect Plug is off or unplugged, I don't have any power to any appliances, slides, lights etc.

Just a little confused on why the Battery Disconnect Plug has to be in the on position to have power coming from an external source.....thought it might have to do with that being the way to charge your batteries first and then supplying the remaining amps to inverter etc. did i make sense? lol

The 12v stuff is killed by the disconnect. It disconnects the batteries and converter/charger from the system. So yes, to have 12v items and to charge the batteries you have to have the disconnect on when on shore or generator power.

Unless you have the residential fridge, you unit won't have an inverter unless it was added.

Ok. I'm not up on those systems. Not sure if they have the inverter through the disconnect or not.
