Rails .

Has anyone with a gooseneck turn over ball in their truck added rails ? I have a Curt GN now and I have a need for a conventional 5er hitch ever so often + we may be upsizing our current rig to one that gets close to my AUH max weight.
I think it maybe doable with the non-specific mounting angles but don't know. May have to spend the bucks for the Reese Elite under bed rails with gooseneck & the adapter as I use the GN way more than the 5er. I've had the Curt X-Rail and would prefer not to go that route but may be easiest for now.

Blue Ox hitch grabs on to any 2-5/16" goose neck ball, sits tight in the grooves of the truck bed, is a manual slider if needed, and has rubber cushions. No rails or pucks!

I have a turn down ball installed in the bed of my truck. I also have traditional rails as well. Not sure the brand of turn down ball as it was there when I bought the truck.

No way. BW uses a square shank with single pin & Curt uses round with double locking pins.
I did get a quote from a shop today, 500 bucks. I talked to the reason I need a conventional hitch & told them they needed to buy the adapter or hire a rv mover.
Artus93, could you post a photo of the frame attachpoint ?

Doesn't the Anderson fit onto a gooseneck ball?

Curt has a fifth wheel hitch adapter that fits into the gooseneck socket. But it’s pricey at over $500.

Andersen works great on a gooseneck ball, but also pricey at over $700.

Demco offers a gooseneck fifth wheel hitch but it’s pricey at over $600.

Note that any fifth wheel gooseneck adapter will not work with a rotating turret. I think there must be too much torsional load on the gooseneck platform.

As noted earlier, It may be cheapest to buy a gooseneck pin box on the trailer.

Heck, if you only move the trailer once in a while, it may be cheaper to make good friends and pay in beer.

I have an Andersen , I just have a need for a set of rails to move anther family members 5er maybe once a year & they have a hitch, just no truck anymore due to their age. I don't want the XRail as I have had one and I hate them. I just need to know for sure the universal frame mount will work with my Curt mounting system.
I would just borrow a truck with rails but all of my local rv friends are all motorhome guys.
