I don't hear many complaints but is a shock when you hear it for the first time in your rig. My 1st fifth wheel had a aluminum roof. It was loud but dry so we were not complaining at all.

I guess I'm the only complainer then. My friends "Cheaper" brand of camper is silent compared to what I would classify as a "Higher End" Jayco brand. Lately all we get are rain / thunder storms and tornados. When it rains for hours on end and you can't hear people talking to you it starts the wear on you. As far as sleeping, there is none of that with as loud as this is. I'm just saying, BEFORE I purchase another camper, I will have to hear rain on the roof. That's all.

I haven't seen a reply yet that says you are a complainer. I think your expectations may be a little high though. I am not familiar with your TT model. Maybe the higher end Jayco brand is built differently than your friends. Maybe they used a dense foam insulation in his. I'm sure you paid a lot of money for your TT, we all do. The space between our roof and ceiling is filled with batt insulation and it still doesn't deaden the rain sound. But as I stated in my previous post, a TT is not a permanent structure. Hearing rain on your roof is part of the package. I'm not sure what your considering loud. I guess if I had to listen to it for hours on end I would go bonkers myself. But the rain is only temporary. I am sorry you are experiencing this.
