For the Cummins diesel:
Under no circumstances should oil change intervals
exceed 15,000 miles (24,000 km) or six months or 500
Hours, whichever comes first

On the Eco Diesel it is:
Under no circumstances should oil change intervals
exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km) or twelve months,
whichever comes first.

We service our Cummins generators at 350 hours.

I got the same oil change deal when I bought my truck new and changed oil about every 3 months. As a bonus, I just resolved the dodge O2 sensor issue with many phone calls to corporate HQ. they gave my 8 oil changes for the next 2 years. Looks like I will be in every 3 months - regardless of miles.

2010 Ram CCLB 2500.

I have a 2014 Cummings 6.7 dodge I change oil and filter at 7,500 no more and fuel filters at 15 k mo more only issues is my def gauge will not stay working I am going to dealer and fix this for good one way or the other.

Another great thing on these new Rams, at least 2015's and up. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System is fully automatic. Went in to Discount Tires to get my tires rotated and balanced. I asked them about the TPMS system as far as resetting them in the new tire positions. They said no problem, Ram did it automatically. They love the system. A s my tires were rotated front to back, the monitors showed 80 psi in the front and 60 psi in the back, which was the exact opposite of what it should have been. After driving for approximately 10 minutes at highway speeds, the tpms accurately read the new pressures, 60 in the front and 80 in the rear. I love it!

Would like to thank all of you who gave input on this topic. As I plan on keeping this truck until it gives up the ghost or I give up the ghost first, I think I will stick to every 5000 miles. We go on one trip at least each month so not excessive towing but we do our share. I love this truck and it tows great so we will try to maximize our investment. Thanks again to all of you. This forum is just great for information!

Often forgotten on vehicles, particularly these bigger pickups, is your tranny, rear and front differentials. I religiously change the lube in them at every 15 thousand kilometers. You can get away with longer durations if not towing, but because my Ram 3500 doesn't move unless it has one of my trailers attached, I make sure it these "forgotten" parts are maintained.
