Where do you want to mount the camera, on the 5er or TV?

This is from another poster but it tells a great story. This is exactly what I did with my new 5er. Dealer installed right below the back lights at the top of the 5er.

I should have mentioned this as well and you may even know about it. There is new technology out with Voyager called WiSight. This is a digital signal type wireless system that only the camera and monitor are compatible together, this eliminates interference that you can pick up and increases the range that the analog type systems are noted for. WiSight has a range of 60+ feet through objects. This link Voyager Systems & Kits has some more info on this as well.

I have a Cab Cam. It is marketed to the farm community but it is a good unit at a very good price. Can hook up multiple cameras and the camera has a mic. in it. Just type in Cab Cam and you should be able to find more info and the best price.

I got one from Costco it is a hard wired unit made for TT's and 5ers. It comes from RVS (rear view safety) . I used to have a wireless unit but on trailers over 30' they just dont work right and I was always getting interference from security cams. It also has a much larger screen.. I bought a second cam for the back of the truck to aid in hitching. One of these days I will take some pics and post on here under mods.

This is the system I have PLUS and extra cam

I got ours from Rear View Systems, and it mounts on the license plate bracket. It has audio capability so that I can hear the wife while backing into a space, and it also has night vision capability.

Sometimes Pep Boys stores have a rear view camera set up for demonstration. You can see the Voyager System on a Greyhawk (and maybe other MHs) at a Jayco dealer. ... have never seen any interference on my Voyager. Excellent night vision too.

No, it is a wired unit. I ran the wires up the frame rails and installed a plug on the pin box for the coiled cable that attaches to the truck.

The Garmin Dezl GPS accepts a camera input, so you can make one screen do double duty. Last fall they came out with their own camera option - camera wire runs to the front of the RV, which then goes to a wireless sender to be picked up inside the cab and displayed on the GPS. For the Dezl, it does not have to be one specifically from Garmin. It is kind of a hunt to put together your own system for it, though.
