It's not bad at all. If you do not have the day/night shades, the repair is even easier. You will see angle brackets under the valance, to get it off the wall. Un screw the valance, leaving the angle brackets on the wall. It makes it a lot easier to put it back up. The side cord ends tie onto a spring in the top bar, run down through the pleats, and cross in the bottom bar, then out the end caps to the adjusting knobs screwed to the wall. Hint: squeeze the pleats together, melt the tips of the cords with a match (like a nylon rope does), and push them through the holes on the sides. (Squeezed together, it becomes one 'hole').
