Reattaching 2022 Pinnacle 36SSWS Window Roller Shade

New 2022 Jayco Pinnacle 36SSWS rear window roller shade disconnected from valance on one side. Hoping it would just snap back into place. Anyone have experience removing the valance (dealer advised I have to remove it to reattach the roller shade) and reattaching it?

The valiance is screwed in at several points. You have to look hard for them but once you find them they are easy to remove.

I was told to look straight up from below to find the 2 screws and remove. We are waiting on a new blackout shade under warranty

Usually the brackets can be left in and the screws backed out of the valence from underneath.

Yes, they do snap back in place, but it's a PITA to do. A helper will be needed, especially with the longer shades. 3 screws are holding the rear valence on that go into the cabinet bottom above. Remove the valance / shade assembly from the wall and put it on a firm surface. There are steel clips that need to be pushed down (on the side facing the valence, away from the wall when mounted) quite forcefully with a screwdriver while pushing the shade assembly aluminum extrusion down into the clip with another screwdriver.
