I would think it is the back one for the water tank that is what I was told. The front one has to be the drain for the water lines up front.

Makes sense, they told me but I forgot. Haven't needed to used it yet.
Thanks

Hello Everyone,
Requesting opinion from forum experts...
We stopped by our RV today and the RV was completely dead. Absolutely no battery power, couldn't even start the generator (not a good thing). We had the RV plugged in a trickle charge but realized the GCFI outlet was tripped.
Will this total battery drain damage the RV batteries (6 total)? It's been in storage now about 2 months and unsure when the GFCI was tripped...
It's back on the trickle charge but was wondering if anyone had any inputs or advise.

The short answer is, Maybe. Any wet cell battery will be damaged if left completely discharged for even a short period of time.
You won't know unless you have them re-charged and tested.

Thanks Norty1,
I'll wait until the power center indicator light changes charging status and then have the batteries checked by dealer...
Maybe it's best to disconnect negative of batteries while in storage than rely on the trickle charge. Up to four others can plug into the same gfci outlet at our storage facility. I talked to the manager and he is going to keep an eye on it but that doesn't help what already happened... Upgrading to six batteries wasn't cheap and the RV is four months old..live and learn ...

Hello All,
Pulled out the RV to clean it up and start to get it ready for our first trip in a few weeks...
When we got it to the house out if storage and took off the waste pipe cap, about a gallon or two of nastiness drained out.... All drain levers were closed ....
Anyone have an idea what would cause this? I also recall experiencing the same thing on a smaller scale during our inaugural trip in between camp sites...
Perhaps a bad valve ???? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated..

Sounds like either a bad valve or some muck that is preventing the valve from seating fully. Might want to try back flushing or maybe a pipe brush to see if there is muck you can break free.

Put another gate valve on the end. You will never have any seepage again.
What about those poor sextuplets? I hope they are ok.

I had the same problem with my gray tank (forward one) than one day just fixed itself. I tried flushing the tank out several times with no luck. It was on dealer list to fix but just like my slide problem they both fixed themselves. I bought one of the add on valves but did not like how far out it sticks but that will solve ur problem. Next time you go in storage just use the battery disconnect and hook your trickle charger up. Have u read my post about my brake problem?

Thanks Heady,
I will definitely try the back flush and may need to try a long drain snake... Thanks again

Also thank you Klassic and Rock,
Putting a gate valve on the end is a great idea ... Actually think I may have one but will have to see how far it sticks out when out on...
The sextuplets appear 'ok' but still not sure how long they will keep a charge on a load ... That will be part of my tests this weekend...
Rock,
What's up with your brakes? Did you post in this thread or a different thread?? I'm not showing really anything in this thread almost the whole month of Feb... Is that right??
Thanks again everyone !

Under fifth wheel but under major brake problems. Should only be back a page or two. RV been in shop over two months while Jayco and Lippert argued on who pays. Probably will not get it back till mid March.

If you didn't know... If you leave your rig plugged in and turn off the battery disconnect, your converter will continue to charge the batteries. That's how our rigs are wired.
I think the built in charge wizard would do a better job taking care of batteries then a trickle charger.
The wizard sends out a desulfation charge every 28 days.
So if your rig gets unplugged or the breaker pops, the batteries won't drain from a parasitic draw.
And when they are fully charged they will stay charged for months in the cold.

I would also like to see a picture of six batteries all cradled in the battery compartment.

I bet with six batteries and a washer drier you would have a leaning RV and a bunch more pin weight

Klassic, I will try to take a few pics of the sextuplets and post...
The batteries appear great and just as you said, the power control unit did a great job trickle charging...
All systems check is good... sanitized all water tanks... long tedious process....!!

Roof De-lamination concern
Hello Everyone....
Was wondering if I could get everyones thoughts/feedback on a concern I have with what appears to be some de-lamination, on the corners of the roof, just under the rubber layer. Our RV is about 5 months old, but it appears lifting/de-laminating could very easily cut through the rubber roof layer.
Please see pictures below.... Should I be concerned and contact Jayco ?? Our RV is stored under a roof..

Nice!
I assume those are AGM's?
I would hate to be checking the water on those.
That's a lot of pin weight you have up there. What does it weigh in at?
Too bad about the roof... Mine sure isn't like that. At least I haven't noticed
I'd be sending that picture to Jayco. If you dealer says it's ok and Jayco says nothing to worry about, at least it will be documented if something happens.
Looks like it's the aluminum that bends around the edge buckling between the screws.

That does not look good. Can u push down on the rubber roof an does what ever is underneath (causing it to lift up) also push down? If so than what ever is under the rubber is starting to separate. Our unit were made within a week and I wish mine was not at dealer so I could look and see if mine is also doing that. U sure that was not like that when u got it? My rubber roof has a lot of wrinkles around the vents and also on the sides but they r just wrinkles and nothing was lifting up on the rubber from underneath. With that said I have not looked at my roof since early Dec. I would have a dealer by u check that out. If that is separation from the underneath that is a major repair
