Reciever hitch

We ordered our 319 MLOK a couple weeks ago and I'm glad it has the 2" reciever hitch so we can carry our bicycles. Been on a few other forums and read nightmare stories about them failing. Has anyone here had this happen on their Jayco? At a campground last year the couple next to us was carrying a small Yamaha trail type bike on their hitch and said they have not had any issues.

It's rated for 300 lbs.. I had a storage box on our's and carried a bunch of "stuff" with no problems.
