Refrigerator Problem

We have a 2017 Pinnacle 36KPTS. We picked it up last week at the Jayco Service Center in Middlebury after having some repairs done. We discovered upon setting up that evening that our residential Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator did not go to temperature. It powers up and it sounds like the fan is running. It was at the Service Center for about 6 weeks unplugged (I assume) for the majority of that time. Has anyone had similar issues with their Frigidaire Gallery and, if so, how was the issue resolved? The local repair service shop suspects the compressor but they will not work on it unless it is completely removed from the camper. Has anyone removed their refrigerator from their KPTS and, if so, how was it done? I contacted the Service Center but have yet to hear back from them.

Not sure about your KPTS, but on a 321RSTS, the refrigerator goes out the back window...per RVone service tech...not an easy task....

I had a similar problem of fridge not coming down to temperature. Seems problem started when icemaker stopped working and I shut icemaker off then on. When icemaker was on, temps went up. Temps went back to normal when icemaker was turned off. So, I left icemaker off til I got home. When home, I unplugged fridge from power (under stove) uninstalled icemaker, inspected it and re-installed it. Plugged in fridge and everything worked as designed. As we used to say in the computer business, "when in doubt, POR" (power on reset) Try pulling the plug.

We just replaced the residential fridge in an '18 KPTS. The island has to be moved to get the fridge out of the slide and onto the floor, and then the doors removed to get it out the rig door.

Believe it or not, moving the island isn't that difficult, just time consuming. Besides disconnecting the plumbing and a couple of electrical lines it's only 9 screws holding in it place. It is heavy though... If you go that route be sure to mark the location VERY well though so you get it back in the right place.

Thanks Rob. Was your refrigerator a Frigidaire or a Samsung? And what did you replace it with?
