Remind me again, what’s the switch in the battery compartment?

I was in the battery compartment our HT, checking out the space for a larger battery setup. There is a switch (on a plate, just like an interior light switch) on the front bulkhead of the compartment.

I know I read the purpose here on the forum, but I can’t seem to find it with a search.

If it is a fifthwheel depending on the year it could be for the rear camera.

Probably a master switch for the lights. The lights will have a switch on them also. My 5th wheel has a switch on the passenger side compartment for a scare light on the driver's side of the camper. Took me 1 year of use to figure out. Just left the switch on till I saw the scare light lit one night.
