Have a 2014 jayco fifth wheel the remote handles the slides, jacks, awning, my remote does not function ,when I press “on” on the remote the light comes on then I press a function example rear jack the light comes on and then goes out, Any suggestions, is battery low on power (checked has 7.5 volts) or is remote defective, any answers greatly appreciated

I would guess you need a new battery. Sounds like the old one is going down for the count. At 7.5V, that box of lead and acid is done.

Have you had the battery load tested? Checked water levels? Kept it on a trickle charger when parked/storage?

Our 5'r has a panel but no hand held remote. I downloaded an app for my iPhone and can use that to remote control it over WIFI (direct connection). Outside of that, the panel (display) shows the status of the battery, etc.

I would change the hand held remote battery first. Then possibly reset to factory and reconnect to your 5'r. When in doubt, RTFM! LOL - Good Luck

Will buy new battery, and see if that’s works
