I use the Rack Jack II by Viking Solutions. Connects to any 2” receiver box. Easy to assemble, disassemble, and use. Easily picks up my hitch in 1 piece and swivel it into/out of my RAM 2500. I use it to lift my Predator generator, too. It stores nicely in one of the pass through storage areas in my trailer. Get a lift strap from Harbor Freight and you have endless lifting capabilities.

$159 at Bass Pro / Cabelas. Amazon & Ebay often have it, especially near deer season. Just google Viking Solutions and you’ll see quite a few etailers carrying them now.

MyAndersen hitch, steel version is around 40#’s. The removable rails weigh more than the hitch does.

I looked on B&W website and I don't see the lifting device. Have a link or part number?

Thanks,

I bought the Harbor Freight truck bed crane as well. It works great.
I decided to upgraded mine a bit by adding a 1/4 plate between the crane and the bed for additional support. I also attached an ATV winch (With wireless remote) to the top of it. It makes it really simple to install my 5th wheel hitch now. Everything still tucks nicely up against the bed rail.

I would prefer to use the Goose neck setup since it takes up much less space in my truck bed. I continue to use the Companion 5th wheel that drops into the existing Goose neck hitch since it came with the truck. To use the Goose neck hitch instead, I would have to replace the pin box on the trailer with a Goose neck.

Using a goose neck adapter brings up a lot of discussion about voiding warranty or damaging the frame of the trailer. Just be sure to read up on it if you decide to go that way.

I put a 1/2" lag type eye bolt in the rafter of my garage 10 years ago. I use a 1/4 ton chain fall with a chain around the hitch to remove my hitch. I drop in down onto a movers dolly I got from Harbor Freight and roll it around the garage as needed. Simple but works well.
