Thanks! How is the hoist attached to, I assume, the metal bar? Sorry if I am being a pain, just trying to figure out how to safely attach my hoist.

Trout Hunter, the image appears to have been rotated 90 degrees to the left. I am not sure how to rotate it, but that is the image of the hoist mounted to the garage door header.

The electric hoist is top mounted so yes the angle iron was used to fasten the hoist top to the wall. I built mine a little more beefy then actually needed for the hitch as it is also used to to switch out drag boat engines..The garage door headers are pretty stout and can easily hold 1000 lbs. The second photo posted by esacnj is also a good idea, just hang it when you need it. I would be a little nervous lifting over 300-400 lbs. with it, although plenty enough for a 5th wheel hitch.
