I might have missed something in the thread but you shouldn't need brakes to repack your wheel bearings. Seals yes, brakes no.

When repacking the bearings it is a good time to check the brakes for wear and replace if necessary.

Don’t buy the tubes. Buy a can of bearing grease. I use Mobil 1. 2 cans will be plenty with some for next time.

OK I am still at it. Finished the passenger side brakes and greasing bearings. Would have preferred doing all 4 at the same time but was not comfortable jacking up both sides at the same time. When I pulled the drums on the driver side, there was NO brake lining left and the drums were severely scored. So 2 new drums on the way. I CANNOT overemphasize how important it is to NOT rely on just using the EZ-Lube system. If you must use the EZ-Lube system, please take the extra step and pull the drums and do an examination of the brakes, bearings and drums, then do EZ-LUBE, if you must. Lesson learned.

x2 on the 16 oz tub. If you are doing by hand, you wont use one tube per hub. If you want to fill the hub full of grease using the zerk, then you will pack each bearing, then fill the hub which will take close to a full tube of grease. Filling the hub with grease is not necessary and I'm not sure it really has much advantage. Unless your maintenance plan is to periodically pump grease through the hub instead of repacking.

How many miles were on the trailer? If the mileage was fairly low I'd be looking for a reason for the brakes to wear so quickly.

I am thinking about 10-12k. I don't have a hubometer so I approximate. I stated in an earlier post that I did a 10K trip from Texas to NJ then through the Canadian Rockies to Vancouver then diagonally back home to Texas. Then 2 trips to the Gulf Coast. Brakes were supposed to have been changed on warranty before the long trip, for blown seals. Now I am thinking they were not.

That may be enough miles to wear them considering the mountain runs. Downhill grades keep your foot on the brakes quite a bit. I doubt I've ever put that many miles on a trailer.

Your RAM should be tracking the miles when the trailer is attached in the EVIC. It did on my 2014 RAM. When you go into the trailer setup in the EVIC there should be two screens for the selected trailer. One shows the brake gain setting and I think that one is the default displayed when you enter. If you use the right arrow to move to the second screen it should display miles accumulated with the trailer attached.

On my RAM you can track up to 3 different trailers. For example if you had a RV & a utility trailer.

Well I checked it and by gosh it does. It shows 1211.7 miles. That's from a trip from Southeast Texas to Carthage, MO. The GPS showed 600 miles each way so it sure looks right.

So I had this funny picture in my head as about a hundred RV'ers around the country dropped everything and ran to their trucks and set off local siesmometers.
I took the bait and checked my Ford. Took some digging around in the menus but there it was. 1287 miles!!!

Still figuring out my new F-250 as well. One thing I did notice on the F-250 is that under certain conditions the mileage for the trailer would continue to accumulate after it was disconnected. I've made it a habit to ensure that there is no active trailer once I disconnect it.
There are also a few more settings associated with my F-250 trailer setup than my '14 RAM had. Not sure how the new RAM's are, though when I was looking at the all-new 2500's I did note their disclaimer that blind spot detection was for truck only. That is one of the things I like about my F-250 - blind spot detection is available when towing with trailers up to 33' in length.
