I was able to find all the way back to 2017 Pinnacle brochures, and they listed the front caps a gel coat fiberglass from 2017 and subsequent years. Can't speak to the years before that...

I own a 2015 FLSW. Fibreglass is easy to repair, gel coat surface too but take it too a compound specialist - that’s what they do and they Color match the gel, a good tech can easily do this. It’s a good thing this isn’t the painted version as the cost would be way higher and take longer. A good gel guy would have this done in a day, two max

I've seen boat repairs in the past and it's amazing what those repairs guys can do. They actually reestablish the gel coat and color match it. But in order for them to actually repair the gel-coat, they need to have access from the back side of the damage. It didn't sound lie the OP was gong to remove the nose cone but do the repairs attached.. I don't believe it's possible to reestablish gel=coat with that type of repair

That would be the "correct" to do it. I don't know how they do it, but we had a dime sized area fixed on our Montana cap (at dealers expense), and the shop that they sent it to did a fantastic job. You couldn't tell that it was fixed, or were the old / new gel coat started / ended. They did all of it from the outside, somehow...
