Replace front storage door

I have to replace my front storage door on my 2016 Jayco North Point 341RLTS. I had a slight incident with my tailgate and the door. 3 cracks in outer shell of door.

Has anyone changed out a storage door before?

The new door comes with the frame and door.

Looks like you replace the whole thing. Plan on using Butyl tape on flange, and then caulking it.

This sound about right? Any tips

Thank you

Isn't there a set screw or rivet in the center or ends that prevent the door from sliding sideways? Every door I've seen (things do change though) was able to be slid out of the top track..

I have the same unit.. I have hit the door before, but I must have just tapped it. I had no damage.

I have no tips, except I would try taking out the end screws in the hinge and see if the door slides out before replacing the whole frame.

Also the mfg. of the door usually puts a tag on the door with model/serial numbers that you can contact them for guidance.

I have replaced one and it was just held in place with screws. Easy to swap out after the third one showed up that wasnt damaged by UPS in shipping.

X2

I have a different 5th wheel, but looks like small square drive screw on end and should slide out.

Just took the door out of the box after getting the screw out of the frame on trailer and the door has shipping damage. Will have to get a hold of Valley RV who I ordered it from and get a new one shipped out. With all the foam around the door they must have dropped it pretty hard to damage the door like they did.

Thanks for all the replies
