Replacing bathroom fan
I assume a lot of you have already replaced your bathroom fans... I am looking at replacing my original fan with this --> https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/vorte...ade-49448.html
any thoughts? Yes, I def don't want to get on the roof and deal with sealing anything new. Do you think this unit will work with my existing fan cover? It's the kind that has the 2 openings on the side of the cover to let exhaust out (original equipment). I have a 2017 Eagle HT 27.5 RLTS if that helps.
Please let me know.

There are YouTube videos about replacing with a Vortex fan...can all be done from the inside, if I’m not mistaken.

You are the 2nd OP this week with an Easy Breeze which is noisy and moves very little air. Been here done this
I made this change on our 2017 Eagle 321rsts right after we got it.
Unfortunately the easy breeze vents out the sides and you cannot just change up the fan to make any improvement.
You will need to replace the whole unit with a maxxair or fantastic fan
I went with a maxxair unit and a vent mate cover.
Wish I had spent the extra on the remote version. Better half can't reach the fan controls or open it without a foot stool
The maxxair is very quiet and multispeed. Even on low it moves more air than the easy breeze

There's a recent thread on exactly that subject here:
https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...tml#post916698
If your fan looks like this one, it's a Dometic EZ Breeze.
https://www.amazon.com/Atwood-Fan-Ta.../dp/B00RBWQH4I
I'm not sure you can upgrade it without replacing the entire unit. The higher flow fans like a larger roof unit.

Thanks for the reply Roadrunner. That was my fear
I will look at a new solution with a cover. I will have gander or campingworld do it though.

That Easy Breeze fan is unique in design... No worries about rain getting in but needs better air movement engineering to do any good.

I dont have an issue with the air flow, but the on/off switch constantly fails.

That's a common complaint with them, along with being noisy compared to the better ones. Is it a push-on/push-off button style switch?

Yes, it is push on/off for a switch - valued at 4 cents. The first switched died, but it was under original warranty. I now have a good sams extended warranty, but I doubt it covers it.

If it's a simple 2 wire, they're cheap and easy to replace. I have a couple for spares, just in case someone needs one at camp. Our TT has one on the dinette lamp, but it's still working after 8 years. I guess if you have a spare, you'll never need to use it! Lol!
Here's one that's probably a little more durable. They should be available at any decent hardware, or big box store.

Thanks, I will check it out. I would rather replace the switch and save some money. Like I said, it moves enough air for me.

Remember to consider height of the fan cover. I bought the big Maxxfan cover that allows you to operate the fan in the rain but had to return it before installation. At the top of the A/C's we're already at 13'7" which is 1" over street legal. The vent cover would have put us higher and we've already nearly converted the A/C's to skylights.

Joan617 - I am going the cheap route as JFlightRisk stated and buy a few on/off switches. When the motor gives out, then I will switch to a better brand.
Thanks everyone for your input. much appreciated !!

Thanks for the reply JFlightRisk - I went to Lowe's and bought a replacement switch and installed and works great. When this motor fails, I will look at replacing the whole fan and cover.

Bathroom fan
We replaced our puny single speed, manual lift lid and poorly placed too high switch fan to a MaxAir plus with remote control, 10 speeds, reverse, auto closing lid with rain sensor. Can be used to exhaust or draw in air. Worth the bucks.

I had the same fan on my new 355mbqs. Totally a POS! Had so much trouble with the on/off switch plus my wife could never turn on and off the fan, too high. I replaced it with the MaxxAire fan 7500 w/remote. So much happier now so when it finally craps out or you're tired of too much moisture in the bathroom, consider MaxxAire.

I have successfully used a Hengs Vortex along with a continuosly variable PWM controller before. Much better than original. Can run at any speed, zero to full.
I plan to do the same on my Eagle HT.

I replaced our fan with the Hengs vortex fan. All installed from the inside using your existing fan housing. I also YouTubed a install video to get me started and easy install for me. I would recommend the vortex ll multi speed and reverse speed version if were to choose this fan. We're happy with it and not as bad on the wallet as some other replacements. Good luck
