Replacing dimmer switch with a simple on off switch?

Has anyone replaced the finger touch dimmer switches like what is in our main cabin>

I don't have one of those; however, I put one of these in for my awening lights. It would give you a swicth and keep the dimmer option. Should be the same size and probably plug and play... https://www.amazon.com/American-Tech...0804994&sr=8-5

One of mine was replaced under warranty. I didn't personally do it.
