Question RF Modulator

When I purchased my Winegard Pathway X2, I purchased two receivers, one for the living room and one for the bedroom. At the time I told them I also had a basement TV and wanted to know how I could get satellite to it. He said I would need a RF Modulator. Never tried to use it. Decided to give it a shot but I had no directions as to how to use it. Called Winegard and they didn't have a clue...........they said it depends on how the coach was wired. Anyone have an experience using a RF modulator to get programming from one TV to another.

I have been using an HDMI extender to send the satellite signal from my front TV to the bedroom. Works just fine.

The HDMI output from the Direct TV receiver is fed to the transmitter box and a cable from that box is then fed to the front TV. The receiver box receives the wireless signal from the transmitter and plugs into the HDMI input on the bedroom TV.

I programmed my Direct TV receiver to operate with an RF remote control so I could change channels easily while in the bedroom. The only drawback is that you have to watch the same channel on both TVs. That doesn't bother me.

Anyone else use a similar HDMI extender to receive satellite programming on their bedroom TV? I couldn't find an outlet for the Toguard.

If you have the Direct TV whole house Genie System, just take the genie and as many mini's as you need. Feeds off the Direct TV wifi without any problem. I have used the mini's as much as 50 yards from my main genie to watch tv outside.

Do a search on Amazon for wireless HDMI extender and there will be a number of options. I just happened to purchase the one brand that is no longer available.

I ran an HDMI cable to the TV from the Wally in the cabinet through the supplied punchout. The Wally provides power to the Satellite Dish via the COAX. I switch to the correct HDMI input. Good to go. Hope this helps (or at least gives you a hint.) Do your research through gagadget
