rubber slide seal tearing

Hey, Kids! I have an 07 Jayco Designer 36RLTS and the kitchen slide has a long rubber seal that is tearing and partly coming off inside the RV upon full extension. It has torn near the center, and when I go under there is a metal strip that holds this piece in place. I don't see where it actually seals much, but perhaps while driving in rainy conditions it would keep road spray off of the slide floor underside. Has anyone ever changed this seal, and what do you call it. Also any idea of price and where to get it? Thanks for helping, in advance. david

Checked the seal I think you are referring to on our '04 Designer 29RLTS, and it seems to be OK. Not sure why yours would be tearing, unless it got out of place somehow. I would email Jayco about it, and ask them where you can get a new one, as well as possible causes. Sorry I can't be of more help, but Jayco is usually very good at helping their owners.
