Running slides monthly

we will be in our current park from Nov till June 1. Tires are on boards and all jacks are set on concrete or wood blocks (grass dirt pad). I have both awnings out supported by poles and tied down. Trying to decide if I need to run slides or even jacks monthly to keep all electrical contacts and motors dirt/corrosion free. Any thoughts? Would have to untie awnings and poles but no big deal. So far no new problems with unit.

Not that it is necessary, but here in Florida with the heat of the sun and the moisture.... I put out the slide and run both stabilizers once a month. I lubricate the slide screws in October and June. Keeps everything moving freely and gaskets from sticking. Been doing this for the last 4 years with no issues. Also discharges the batteries a little for the SOLAR panel to have something to do.

Is that Oldsmar Florida down the road from me?

On our fifth wheel I never really worried about running the slides in and out at a regular interval. Never tethered the awnings as I only put them out when I was using them had the device that would retract automatically if a high wind came up. Loved that feature. During the time we were full time We still took a couple of overnight trips every 4 to six weeks so I suppose that surfaced. The one thing I did do was wash down the Big Foot rams with Silicone every month. Let's see what others have to say.

Since we both still work till summer taking a few short trips just not worth the hassle. We r pretty much packed full with everything else in storage. I have been waiting for a few days of rain to see if jacks settle any than would re level. Only one small rain since Nov. And right now in Fl just about all parks are full with snowbirds till April.
