Rust running out of Revolution Hitch Pinbox

When I had my 5th wheel home last week to do some work I just left it hitched up to the pickup for a few days.
It rained a couple of afternoons.
When I returned the unit to the storage lot and unhitched it I found this:

Those brown streaks in my truck bed is rust that apparently ran out of the Reese Revolution/Sidewinder pin box.

What the heck? Do they not paint the inside of these pin boxes?
I don't see any rust anywhere but from the "splatter" pattern a lot of rust colored water ran out of the front of the pin box.

Anybody else seen this? Rust stains - it was a pain to get it out of my truck bed. I don't see rust anywhere outside - it has to be coming from inside.
Thoughts? Solutions?
I considered just sticking the nozzle of a can of black rustoleum into one of the openings and "fogging" the inside of the pinbox.

Buddyray, I have not noticed that with mine, however, I have not had the occasion to have it hooked up for several days. If one reads the owner's manual, and/or, talk to REESE, it states to disassemble the unit and pack the barring with grease once per year. Have you done that? I have not. Requires a HUGE socket, and puller. I talked to the service dept at the dealer, and was told it was not necessary. I do utilize spray grease to spray into the joint at the pivot.

Shorty,
I've only had the unit for a couple of months so no maintenance yet. And I don't think you could see inside the pinbox by removing the pivot bolt.

This is my first 5er thus the revolution is all I've known, but I do like it. It frees up more room in the bed of the truck. As you know, nothing actually turns down in the bed. One can stack stuff up bed high all around the hitch and still maneuver.

You do have a fancier hitch than I. Mine is the kind that just has the bar that slides behind the pin. (no jaws).
