RV Recliner Question

I have a new 2021 that came with the Stacey Stewart Collection side by side recliners. On the footrest part of the recliner, there is a plastic cover that says Stacey Stewart Collection. The cover seems to be permanently attached but I would like to remove it. I contacted my dealer about how to remove it and they had no idea. I haven't yet tried to contact the furniture manufacturer. Has anyone had this issue?

Same as the Thomas Payne recliners that were in the rigs before they changed the name to Stacey Stewart.
Here's one method:

I wish we had known about the hair dryer method when we got ours. The wife used some small, very sharp sewing scissors. She still used some words I haven't heard come out of her mouth since we had teenagers.

You got to wonder whose brilliant idea was this.

So, made contact with the lippert furniture dept. and they gave me the hair dryer directions to remove the plastic cover. Did it and it worked great. Just a little upset that my dealer service dept. didn't know this. They told me that the plastic cover was intended to stay on. Going to call them and let the know. They should remove the covers themselves before sending the new fifth-wheel out the door with a new buyer.

Check You Tube for a video on removing the plastic. Thomas Payne recliners have the same plastic piece,

We don't feel the heat on ours. And the white light makes no sense. Prefer blue. Decided last night to unplug ours!

When I first got the trailer (3/2020) I could feel the heat, but now I don't. I like the massager and I use the USB ports, but I want the heat too. Guess time to contact Jayco
Was hoping for some easy fix but that doesn't happen in my life

Here's a link to troubleshoot the heater function on the recliners.

UPDATE:

I wrote to Jayco, they told me trailer would have to be looked at and then a warranty claim submitted for Lippert to send them parts. Sooo.....
I wrote to Lippert, told them the problem, told them I don't have the time to bring trailer in for this that will probably takes months. I asked if they have a control box for my recliner and how much, I'll fix it myself.
Just heard from Lippert. They said if everything works but the heat then the heating pad is most likely bad. They asked for some info and will submit a warranty claim so I don't have to pay for it and they will send me the new heat pad. They already sent the install instructions....pretty easy.
I'll let you know when I get it and install it.

UPDATE: I received the new heat pad.....took like 10 mins to remove old and put in new one, super easy!
This one works great! The old/bad one never got this warm. Below is a picture of bad one. I'm going to try to open it up and see if I can find and fix the problem, then I'll have a spare!

Thanks Lippert customer service!

Are your recliners Thomas Payne? My Thomas Payne recliners do not have a zipper on the back of the seat cushion so you would have to cut an opening to access the heating pads!

No they are stacy stewart and do have a zipper so it was really easy. They sent me instructions for the one like yours with no zipper, still not hard to do.

Thanks Spower! I had a Jayco dealer tell me that both chairs would have to be replaced which would take almost a month after ordering! We are full time and can't wait around for them to be replaced.

I'm a full timer too. Just contact lippert, they were great and submitted a claim for it and sent me what I needed. All done in less than a week 🙂
