rv wax?
So looking at my brand new pinnacle this morning and wondering what if anything you all use to protect the surface of your RV? I did a full wash last weekend and today it looks a little dusty and in need of something? What do you all do to protect the outside?

A good combo wash and wax.

Immediately after washing, apply the best wax you can find. Opinions vary widely on which wax is best, and while many may chime in with their personal choice, hard data is in short supply.

rv wax?
I agree with Siamese. I use a foam cannon with a wash and wax soap to wash the trailer. Then I use meguiars x-press spray wax (while the trailer is still wet) as I dry. You can use any wax as you dry type spray to give good results. The meguiars is safe for all surfaces including rubber, glass, vinyl decals, fiberglass, etc.
Twice a year I use regular wax (meguiars synthetic wax) for the front cap.
Here’s where I did mine

I use a product called 303 aerospace protectant and wax. It includes a UV protectant which is supposed to prolong the life of the fiberglass and decals. I apply in spring and fall. Just finished the rv this morning with it’s Winter application. It’s a wipe on, wipe off application so I can do a side in about 45 minutes. My rig is a 2017 so not long enough to tell you if it works long term or not but looks great and bugs come off easily.

At the beginning of each season I use Meguiars Cleaner Wax on the entire rig, and then the front and rear caps a couple of additional times during the season, particularly if we're going to be traveling any distance. It's a lot easier to get bugs off if there's a good coat of wax on the cap.
Based on the results that Magnolia Tom got on his rig I tried the Meguiars X-Press Spray Wax mid-season - loved the result and will definitely be using that going forward. Thanks Tom!

Glad it worked for you Rob. It’s definitely a lot easier than the old wax on, wax off method.

Using the cleaner wax with a DA buffer does wonders for any oxidation on the gel coat.

I use a product called Rejex. It's a sealant that last for at least 6 months. Bugs slide right off. It was formulated for the aircraft industry and is widely used for RV's and boats. Very easy to apply and a little goes a long way.

Easy on and easy off. Ours is a couple of years old so I also used the Marine and RV polish with a DA buffer.

The PC 7242 is a great machine for DIY'ers. Cost is reasonable. That's all I use.
Probably use mine more than most and I'm on my third one in 7 years.
But I will do 8-10 cars / trucks a year so they are well used.
