Satellite TV Connections

Satellite Connection confusion - This picture shows the connections behind the Living Room TV. Which of these do I connect my satellite box to? Right now, the only way I can get a signal is to run a cable from the dish, thru a window to the satellite box. BTW....in the docking station outside, I have 4 coax connections - one called Main, and Satellite 1, 2 and 3. I've tried about every combination I can think of with no success. The one other thing that confuses/worries me is the satellite dummy plug beside the TV outlet. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

You should remove the "Loop" and connect your satellite receiver To the terminal marked Satellite.

What antenna/dish are you using?

Has this been resolved?

DGW
I know this may sound like I gave up, but I gave up for now and ran the sat cable through a lower slider seals and connected it directly to the DISH box. Of course if you have yours already mounted on top of your RV, this suggestion probably wouldn't help you. Additionally I called into Jayco Customer service and after a couple weeks a tech sent me a complete wiring diagram to my 2016 Jayco NP. This will hopefully enable me to trace down the coax cable route to the switch plates you have pictured.

Have an awesome Thanksgiving!

I would recommend you trace the connection points by using a multi-meter and a short piece of RG-6. Twist the center conductor together with the shield on the end.
connect the cable to the connector in the dock station
check the connectors behind the TV with the meter
you should see a direct short, that is the one your cable is connected to in the dock

good Luch

I had the same issue although on the newer units the external connections are marked Sat. Cable and Aux. I could get marginal signal on Aux but none on the Sat. connection. Finally called Winegard up and in their words I needed to connect directly to our Wally as Jaycos splitters are crap and don't pass signal well. After connecting like the rep said signal was great. I route mine similar to EP&DP thru my outside kitchen. After the holidays I plan on trying to find the splitters and replace them with something of more quality and switching the Aux and Sat. connections.

Like Mikayles said they don't like splitters I went through this over and over and I really got tried of it I bypass the splitters and drill a couple of holes in the side of my unit and it work fine, I'm not saying that you do the same their are other ways to do it but this is what I did.

The first two going through my bedroom and the last two are going to my living room area.

Big1, I see you drilled just below the radio antenna. Where inside of your RV does that put the coax and how did you get it up to your receiver?

Here are some here. On the second pics I drill just below the hole that where the outside antenna where at, so what I did because I didn't want to drill into the wood I drill a 1/8 hole from the inside and I went outside and drill a 1/2 hole, it might have been a little under 1/2' but big enough to run my coax cable.

Now these are just behind the TV in the living area and I took this box where the cable connection came out, see the pics. The hole came out just below the outside antenna.
