We use our local grain elevator truck scale. Most everyone uses a CAT scale available at truck stops. It generally takes about 3 ways, pretty cheap and fast. Others that have used them will be along shortly to give you the specifics. Knowing your weights is paramount in my book.

CAT scales cost approx. $10. They have 3 scales as you pull on.
Make sure your truck front tires are on one scale, truck rear tires on the middle scale and your trailer axles on the third scale.
This will give you the readings you can compare to what is on your door sticker of your truck. Max gross weight of trailer and truck can not exceed what your truck is rated. This can be found in your owners manual.

I have a local bark, dirt and gravel company that allows anyone to use the scales, a small one and a big one. They are even turned on when they are closed. I weigh the truck without the rv, front axle, both then rear axle. Then I bring the truck with the rv, same thing, front, rear, trailer, then I go to the big scale and weight it all.

2 thumbs up on the app! I've used it 3 times and it's easy peasy. Don't even have to get out of truck or go in to pay.

When I scale I hit it when we leave on a trip. That way the trailer is full of water and food and such. Full tank of fuel. I then weigh the truck only with a full tank with the family and hitch in the truck before or after the trip. I've also dropped the trailer in the parking lot and scaled just the truck. Just easier for me to scale the truck at a different time. Then it's just basic math and you can see all your weights including your king pin.

I use cat scales at a truck stop near my home.

Besure to measure your road ready height as well. Some scales will measure height too. But those aren't very common to find.

Earl

I used the Escapees SmartWeigh option in Florida:
https://www.escapees.com/education/smartweigh/

You'll get a weight for each axle & side combo (just one for each set of 2 dually wheels). It has been very useful and has allowed us to tune the weight balance of our fifth wheel (North Point 375BHFS) much more precisely. Not surprisingly (in hindsight), the passenger side with washer/drier, generator, fridge, oven, etc is ~200 heavier than the driver side. It has encouraged me to keep my heavy storage items on the driver side to balance things out better.

I was also glad I got the F450 (dually) with my 4100 lb pin weight.
