Screen door

Not sure why I hadn't noticed, but it's beautiful weather here in Williamsburg today and I wanted to leave the screen door open. Problem is it doesn't have a latch.

It will stay kinda shut but nothing is there for the latch to catch.

Is the slide that holds it to the entry door suppose to extend out and catch the door frame?
