Season kick off

Felt great to hit the road again yesterday.

On our way to Disney by way of Aiken, SC.

New TV is an absolute dream. Where I’d be struggling up every steep grade on I20 on the way to Aiken with the old GMC Duramax, dropping so low in speed I’d have to hit the hazards, I’d set the cruise at 70mph with the F450 and it wouldn’t even drop a gear on 3% grades. So relaxing!

The Ford 6.7L was made to tow. I miss my '12 PSD but only towing a few times a year now it made sense to switch to gas. I will have another diesel again sometime because I loved the effortless towing. Have a safe trip!

Nice rig. We’ll look for you on I-95 in South GA. I’m sure we’ll feel your draft as you drive by

Awesome! Say hello to Mickey for me. We will be there in Aug and can’t wait.

House of Mouse was awesome. Was so great to access all the theme parks so easily from Ft. Wilderness, took the ferry one day, drove around the next (free parking). Watched the fireworks from the beach, caught the Hoopty Doo Revue.

First time there for us as a family, we'll definitely return. In fact, we decided to run south again for Christmas this year and were game to go back to Disney, but all the campsites are fully booked already! Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

The rest of our trip consisted of a stay on the intracoastal in Oak Hill, Fl.

Great little campground called Indian Mound Fishcamp, waterside site:

A few days at the beach:

A two day stop in Charleston on the way home, staying at an amazing campground, James Island Park, just over the bridge from downtown. Miles of bike and walking trails, fishing, a waterpark (too early for that), just great:

About 2,500 miles round trip, 14 days. Can't wait to do it again.

Thank you both kindly. After spending 15 years with a basic work spec white truck, which I never planned to do, I decided to "live a little" and spiced it up with the new one.
