Securing 5th wheel hitch in truck

I have a pullrite auto slide hitch that is connected to the truck with removable pins. I leave the hitch in my truck all the time but am concerned someone could pull one or more of the pins. Is there a way to secure the pins or am I being paranoid?

Had a similar hitch in my truck for 10 years. No issues, so far. However, many people warn us about somebody pulling the hitch pin while the rig is parked.

I don't trust people in general and used to replace one of the 4 pins with a longer pin with a padlock hole. Not likely someone will run off with a 100+ lb hitch but you never know what people are going to steel. My Reese slider also has a locking jaw so you can padlock the trailer to the truck as well.

I have the slider hitch plus the adapter to the Ford puck system.
I used 4 locking pins between the hitch and the adapter. Round barrel type.
I use two locks one on each side for the swing arms.
Only place with no locks is on the two saddle pins
Those I can see easy when stopped.
I don't worry about anyone messing with the hitch.. More worried about forgetting a lock pin hair pin or having one break

I bought 2 replacement hitch pins, drilled the holes slightly bigger, then just use padlocks on the 2 front pins. I’m running with the Andersen hitch and removable 5 wheel rails. I run a heavy cable to the bed frame around the rails and Andersen, then lock the Andersen to the rails. I’m more concerned with someone pulling the safety clips rather than stealing the hitch.

The link is basically what I bought...

We have full and part timed since 1988 and never had anything stolen either in a park or on the road. So we believe that RVers are basically honest. The only time we heard of a problem was when somebody came through a park and stole a bunch of bicycles. So we check hitch, etc. before we move but have never found anything malicious.

I have a retrax bed cover which locks closed, I'm not as concerned about the campground as much as when we go out and about. Locking the entire bed gives some piece of mind.

I use one of these. I can use a pad lock that is keyed like my other padlocks.
