Security Camera

I have a 2021 rstl 321 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel. It has the hook-up for a rear back up camera.Can i install the camera on the camper and use it as a security camera?

When and where do you want to use it as a security camera? When at a campsite? When in storage? Most of the rear / side view cameras are powered by the lighting circuit of the camper when connected to the truck. Powering the camera while disconnected from the TV and AC power while parked would be possible but not very feasible.

The camera can be disconnected from the base. It's rechargeable. You can you your phone for video.
