The vinyl fence post allows the angled fittings to remain attached.

What diameter? 4x4 won’t.

Slightly off topic but we’ve used a Sewer Solution for the last 8 years. Works like a macerator but uses a water jet. I store it in a plastic tote and it lives in the basement. I used a hole saw to cut holes in the tote so it could dry out and not grow “stuff”. In our HTT it sat in the shower pan while under way.
I carry 3 10’ drain hoses plus the black tank flush hose and hose for the SS pump.
Majority of the CG’s I only need 1 drain section, the rest of the times a second section does the trick. The 3rd section is used at the storage so I can reach the dump from my storage slot.
Never smells.

My 5X5" fence post sheith from Lowes will fit some elbows, but not the ones I like with the big clear elbow.

In our rig, there is a funny little locking compartment behind the plumbing panel. I think it's for the Sanicon system "if so equipped". Because it is separate storage, I use it for the dirty stuff like elbows and hose support carrier. picture below got turned.

My 5x5"x8' fence post will hold two 10' stinky tubes.

If I recall correctly, the vinyl tube is 5 x 5.

This is a pretty slick solution if you have the room.

My 2018 has a bumper but does not come close to holding my Rhinoflex hose. Use it for pool noodles for the slide when its open and a spray wand.

Macerator

I use an aftermarket macerator pump. Love it.

342CBOK Sewer hose storage

All,
No rear bumper storage for sewer hose on our new RV.
Where's it go? Certainly NOT in the under bed 🛏️ storage .

Seems odd that feature is disregarded on this model.

Good question I never thought to ask when I was looking at Jaycos. I did see several with no rear bumper. Glad ours has a bumper not just for a sewer hose, but mainly for protection against damage to the back wall.

I like this one with magnets instead of hinges:

Our Jayco fifth wheel, 2020 30.5CKTS, and it does NOT have a bumper on it. Our unit did come with the Sanicon waste disposal system though, so maybe that’s the reason they delete the rear bumper? We did buy a new sewer hose, just in case the Sanicon croaks, which we keep in a tote in the pass-through. If we ever have to use it though, we’re in a pickle because we wont want to put it under there, that’s for sure! So, we’re in the same situation as the OP.

Looked at a bag of potato chips lately?

Same size bag with less in it and it costs more money.
Hard to keep the price down with the prices of everything needed going up.

I have the Sanicon also, and have a bumper. And keep a backup hose in it. The RV industry is strange, I ordered mine in January 2019, took delivery in May and it’s labeled a 2020. Now I’ve noticed some minor differences on the website like vinyl in the bedroom in front of the bed, mine has carpet. Now no bumper. I know when I signed the order sheet it stipulates that Jayco has the right to make any changes they want. I hope they at least gave you a longer ladder, cause I can’t get to mine without the bumper.

I have a bumper, and found this to be nice on days I wasn't up for a marathon run.

I think my first thing will be to contact our dealer. Just had our unit there last week to have a couple of small things checked out, but wasn’t thinking “bumper” at the time. If Jayco can’t or won’t put a bumper on, I’ll go with one of the home remedies on this site. BTW, our ladder still isn’t long enough to get on without a step stool in some places!
