No, that's the real thing Our local RV shop has a huge lift and I took that picture from under the lift.

We'll see when we hit the road next week.

Thanks for the update. I told my wife about the shocks being on my RV want list. She asked what the benefits would be.

So you feel a big difference while towing?

Yes! Virtually eliminates porpoising and absorbs bumps better than my TV.

So far so good........even though it's 4' longer and 6" wider than my North Point , I still barely know it's behind me. I do have to be very aware of tight turns. We are staying at a CG for 3 weeks that is only 20 miles from the dealer so I plan on putting all components through a thorough drill before we head out on our journey. Will be meandering down to New Orleans, my home town. Arrive there September 4th and will stay for 2 months visiting with family. From there will be stopping in Galveston, TX for a week and then crossing over to Yuma, arriving in November and will winter there for 4 weeks. Starting to work on our further journey which hopefully will end up in Maine for early fall of 2020 for a month then head back down south.

I am in upstate NY, let me know when you plan to be in Maine. I could plan a trip and accidentally be in your same CG. We could meet up.

Dargo, we plan on staying at a RV resort in Kennibunkport, don't know the spelling but it supposed to be a very nice CG. They will deliver lobster to your RV on request!!

Yesterday I put the shocks to a test. Drove 324 miles from Graham, WA, to Deer Park, WA, 90% of the trip on I90 which can be pretty bad in places particularly when transitioning from road to the many bridges. All I can say is I wish my TV would have taken the bumps as good as my FW did. Amazing difference! If you have some extra $$$, I would consider your making this mod. Just wish my kitchen slide was doing as well

Al and Gang

This is a great thread. I've just put a call in to a local Jayco dealer to request a quote on Roadmaster shocks.

We had a rough trip to the dealer last week, with I-95 south of Savannah being so rough with bad and un-even pavement. We had to leave a cat in the FW when she caught on to the the round-up of animals to the back of the TV crew cab. She hid in a spot that was inaccessible to us but we knew she was safe from temperature and mechanical dangers for the short trip. Being in the extreme rear of the FW, farthest from the axle, she had to have been bounced a lot.

She turned out to be safe and sound and somehow still loves us but the whole episode gave us pause (paws) to consider wear and tear on the FW and our comfort in the truck (along with the other 7 animals).

Thanks for the inspiration Al.

Al,

Did you install the Roadmaster Slipper Leaf-spring kit as well? Or just the shocks? My cat wants to know.

Thanks
