Just the shocks.......don't know the reason and/or advantage of the kit with the slipper springs. I know the labor involved with the full blown kit is huge.

Angus, just read up on the kit with the slipper springs and now wish I had went that route. Very impressive.........like having independent suspension...particularly the increased braking performance..........if you can stand the extra $$$, I would go with the whole enchilada

There is an article here that describes it...
https://www.roadmasterinc.com/pdf/tr..._july_2018.pdf
They claim that the kit allows the axles to work independently rather than be tied together with a common hanger that can cause the bounce on one axle to be transferred to the other.
They also fully disclose that the author of the article has an equity stake in Roadmaster. The author claims that it's three hours labor.

Hmmm, just the shocks cost me 2.5 hours labor.

Just completed a 378 mile segment of our journey today and I have to say the shocks are awesome. I just wish my TV took those bumps as well as the 5er!!

Do you know what part number kit you bought? Thanks for the reviews!

rkelly, assuming you have 3" axles, the part number:
Roadmaster 2460 Shock absorber system for 3" axles.
Right around $500.00 for two axles. If I had to do it over, I would have gone with the whole comfort system which includes slipper springs making it an independent suspension system.

My two cents worth: If you want true independent suspension and can afford it, you can't go wrong with MorRyde's Independent Suspension. I have had it on two of my three 5th wheels. IMO there is nothing better for smoothing out the ride of the trailer and minimizing the road shock to the trailer.
