Shocks for 30.5 CKTS?

We have been patiently waiting for our ordered new Eagle HT 30.5 CKTS to arrive and have read a lot about owner's installing shocks to help with the suspension. Jayco says that the trailer comes "prepped" for shocks. What does this mean and what will be needed to add shocks and what model, size, etc. of shocks is recommended? Adding the shocks something that can be done with simple tools or will welding brackets be involved? The trailer was ordered with 16" wheels and from what I've read, I need to make sure that the shackles are set on the lower mounting holes.
