I'm pulling same trailer with 2017 Silverado 2500 Diesel short bed. No problems towing at all. We have the Reese Revolution pin box and Reese 16K hitch. Probably the tightest I've turned it is around the cul de sac by my house and cab stays nicely away from trailer.

I broke the back glass of my RAM3500 when backing up in a hurry using my 2017 HT 29.5 BHOK with a Moryde pin and B&W slider that gets too close to my tail gate when in the back position. I drive a RAM 3500 SRW diesel.

Manual sliders are stupid. I use a pullrite auto hitch. By far best hitch on the market and worth it's cost. I never have to worry. Keep in mind you may not hit in a perfectly flat parking lot but when the angles chance on uneven campground you could. If I need to pull a U turn I don't have to worry just do it.

I have a non sliding hitch and hit angles all the time, especially in the mountain campgrounds. You just have to pay attention to what you're doing. I've been towing a fifthwheel for 11 years and never lost a glass.

There is really no need for a slider, unless you don't trust tourself

I have an F350 short bed pulling a Pinnacle 38FLSA and I use the Pull Rite super-glide. Works great. 90 degree turns.

My first short bed pickup was a 2012 Chevy Crewcab with a 5'8" bed. I had the Pullrite #3100, 12K hitch and never had any issues. We upgraded to a bigger 5er so I had upgraded to a 3/4 ton 2017 Dodge with a 6'4" bed and bigger hitch. I now have the Pullrite #2700, 16K slider and no issues with my new hitch. I did lots of rearch and in my opinion Pullrite is the best hitch out there. Good luck in your endervers and happy travels!!😃

I'll agree with all of the PullRite SuperGlide support here. I have the Pullrite Super Glide 2900 18K hitch in my short-bed (6.4 Box) truck and i don't even think about it being there. I can turn as far as I need too without getting out to adjust the hitch or worry about hitting my cab. I have done full u-turns in cal-d-sac's in neighborhoods with my Ram 2500 CrewCab and Jayco Eagle-HT 30.5MBOK without a concern for hitting the truck at all. The SuperGlide was the best decision i made when getting my truck/hitch/trailer combo.

We have a Valley Power Pull slider on our 2013 GMC short box. We had a Montana with this hitch and used the slider often when backing very sharp. We now use the same hitch and truck on a 2014 Eagle Premier REQS. I used the slider a couple of times when the trailer was new but have not found a reason to use it any longer. I have parked in some very tight places close to 90 degrees and have not needed the sllder. The additional turning space seems to come from the RV design.

If I were to replace my hitch I would go with one of the new aluminum hithes with the offset coupler. A friend has one in his short bed and he says the his new trailer does not even come close to the cab and the hitch only ways 35 lbs. and mounts on standard rails or goose neck.
