Smile Shoutout to Furrion and Lippert

It seems many of the posts here deal with issues and poor response from Jayco or the sub-vendors of the equipment Jayco installs. I wanted to take a moment to give a shoutout to Furrion and Lippert for quickly resolving an issue I had right out of the gate.

I purchased a 2018 Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS in early May. My unit came with the Furrion Observation Camera installed from the factory. The camera worked perfectly on the drive home from the dealership. My next trip out, the camera would not join with the display for love nor money. However, it would join when the display was plugged in inside my trailer. Yes, I had the trailer connecting cable plugged to my truck and the lights on.

After trying my best to get it to work I contacted Furrion directly via email. I was asked several questions to trouble shoot the issue. The email correspondence took a day or two so in the mean time I contacted Lippert Tech Support to find out what frequency the OneControl WAP operated on if that frequency could be changed. I suspected that somehow, they were interfering with each other.

I am happy to report that Furrion offered, and sent me a brand new camera unit free of charge to replace the one factory installed, with no questioning or hoops to jump through. Additionally, Lippert sent me instructions on how to access the wireless gateway used by the OneControl and change settings to a different frequency if needed. Replacement of the camera solved the issue.

Just wanted to pass along a good result from a pleased consumer.

Your lucky. Furrion told me that Jayco’s rules (because of the two year warranty) prevented them from handling my issue directly in my 5 day old North a Point.

The first trip out in our Eagle 317 RLOK we discovered that the 50" Furrion TV had a mind of it's own when we were awakened by the TV being on at 2:30 am. I turned it off and went back to bed, 20 minutes later the TV was back on, so I unplugged it and again returned to bed. The next morning I re-plugged the TV for the morning news and the thing worked well. We left the camper for a couple hours when we returned later the TV was on. After checking all the presets and doing a factory reset thought all was well, it was not, the above continued. I contacted Furrion by email, provided the model and SN and they issued an immediate replacement authorization for a new TV.
The new TV is fine and works as expected. I am thankful for their quick response.

Glad to hear Furrion is backing up their product with a quick authorization to return and replace problem units. Stuff happens and one measure of the company's stance on quality is how a they handle issues when they arise.
