shower door leak update

Whoopee! The door wipe I purchased a home depot and placed on the bottom of the door is working great. It is just one with adhesive backing and it had to be cut to the correct length and depth. It just sticks on the bottom of the shower door but it is working great. We have already taken 6 showers on three different days this trip and no water leaks. We will see how long this one stays in place. Happy Trails to All.

Don't really have a link as they don't show the inexpensive stuff on their web site. It is a rubber or poly wipe. They have a whole section of them in Home Depot about 36 inches in length and only cost about $4 or $5 dollars. They have to be cut to the correct length and depth and then they have an adhesive backing that you just peel off and stick to the bottom of the door. If this does not hold up for a long time, I may try one that has to be screwed to the bottom of the door. So far, so good.

If the leak is coming from the bottom of the shower door between the door and the bottom frame, this fix should work. If you go to home depot or Lowe's, they will have these. Just ask for shower door wipes and they should know what you are talking about. They are really inexpensive. They will have several varieties to choose from. I think I paid three or four dollars for one. It all depends on the type of shower door you have but this one worked well for us. Sure beats the thin membrane supplied by Jayco.

Where is the mounted? Inside, outside or bottom lip?

It is mounted to the bottom of the inside of the shower door.

Could you post a pic by chance? I didn't see your original post but am wondering if the leak we had this weekend might be similar.

Not at home now but the water was leaking out under the shower door. There is a flimsy door wipe on the bottom of the door and it tears apart after a few uses. There is also one on the top of my door that tore as well but water does not get out there. It is not leaking now with the new heavier door wipe I put on.

link to door sweep I used on bottom of shower door. Strong and inexpensive. Just have to cut to desired size.
