Shower seat

Our Pinnacle has a wooden shower seat that folds up. lately it seems to have lost its taste for staying up, and will slam down at the slightest provocation, lol. I don't see any way to adjust it, but certainly no expert at it. I wonder if some of you have had the same issue, and how did you rectify it?

I think they were invented by women! I replaced the one on my Dometic with one that closes quietly but it is still a balancing act to keep it up. Just bring it as far forward at the mounting holes and re-tighten the mounting bolts.

Mine didn’t have that problem while being stationary, but when traveling it would always come down. I used velcro to keep it up so it is still accessible if needed. We’ve never had a need for it yet so it just stays up all the time.

X 2 on a velcro strap from wall to bottom of seat. Put velcro under the seat edge so you don't have to sit on it and the strap will lay flat when the seat is down.

Thank You both. We never use it either but of course it gets in the way when down. Velcro seems to be a great idea
