Shower track drain holes

I have a 2019 North Point 377RLBH. The shower is the 3 panel glass shower door set in a aluminum track that has drilled slots for water drainage however they don't seem to work very well. Water constantly sits in these tracks and they become a laboratory experiment after a while.

Has anyone found a solution to getting the water to drain out of these track efficiently? I thought about drilling a larger hole but not sure how that would turn out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I did exactly what you’re thinking of doing. I used a dremel tool to open up the slots to allow drainage. It works great. However, it’s not easy to get the tool into the inner slots so you end up marking up the inside of the track. Not a big deal but if you have OCD, it’ll drive you crazy.

See the Mods to 377 thread where I did it.

Thanks Tom. I saw your post and it looks like it works. But as you say unfortunately I am OCD...lol I may have no choice to drill bigger holes and let the chips fall where they may. Or just add fish and I could have a micro aquarium!

Maybe the right kind...

of pollywog will work. I've seen some pretty small ones. Unfortunately when they grow up they'll jump out. But then everything has it's down side.
