Side wall crack?

After our last trip I saw this crack in the exterior side wall of my Jayco 355 MBQS. Itís a 2020 unit, not old and definitely not abused.

Itís coming from the lower left corner of where the slide out of the master bedroom. Iím contacting the dealer - curious as to whether this is something that can be repaired, but more leaning to the terrifying fact that they may have to replace the entire side wall.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Not sure why, but these pictures should both be rotated by 90 degrees clockwise.

Very common problem with several threads covering the topic. Ours is at Jayco factory right now getting the same thing fixed. They will be welding some gussets in the slide area. I don't know how much, if any, of the side wall they will be removing on ours. Another problem that is common and may be related to this is the corner molding below this crack separates and needs to be reinforced with bigger screws. Ours is having that done too. It doesn't appear that you have that problem yet., But you should watch for it. Plenty of posts about this issue too.

I have a 385THWS. Same thing happened on both sides at the slide corners. My dealer went Through Jayco and was covered by warranty. The trailer was taken to a shop in Minnesota. They repaired the frame and fixed the fiberglass sides. I was asked if I wanted fixed as it was or to install a joint at that location. I went with the joint since this is a very narrow area. The repair looks great. They had it for about 2 weeks, not counting the transport by Jayco.

Thanks for the link - I had t realized how prevalent this issue was. Any idea if another trip or 2 in the near future will be a big problem before turning it in?

Should not be an issue. I had the same problem and Jayco suggested I just put some tape on it to help prevent water getting in. It may get s little bigger when you use it again until fixed. I had mine fixed twice now at the Jayco factory and I have a 2017 NP 377. It is mostly cosmetic issue so safe to use until repaired.
