Sidewinder hitch on a sliding hitch?

The last 8 years or so I have slid my hitch on my F250 when I needed more clearance. I just bought a new 5th wheel and it comes with a Reese Revolution Sidewinder hitch pin. Do I have to change out my slider hitch for a fixed one or can I just leave it in the towing position? I don't really wanna buy a new hitch.

Thanks

I first purchased a slider hitch for my F250 and then later purchased a fifth airborne sidewinder before Reese bought them out . I used it in the fixed position for nine years not a problem. I just recently replaced it only because I purchased a larger fiver and wanted a heavier hitch. You will be fine with the slider in the fixed position.

Should be good as long as u leave it in the locked position. I have the 19k sidewinder and it works great. Just wish they offered a 19k fifth airborne sidewinder
