Slide cover under main awning

I am considering slide covers for my slides mainly to keep water off the top so it can be retracted after a rain with little concern and to keep debris off.

I have a 24.5 ckts that has a smaller kitchen slide on the curb side. The kitchen slide also has the main awning above it so the clearance will be tight not to interfere. I sometimes do not open main awning because of wind or just do not need it but I would like the slide protected. Has anyone successfully installed or had installed a slide cover over that slide and have enough clearance for the main awning to continue working?

They did on my PINNACLE but you have to install the brackets upside down. Topper rubs on slide, but not a problem. Going on 3 yrs now.

Glad to see it may be possible. Did not say earlier that the awning on mine is only about 1/2 in. above slide when fully extended. It touches if I lower one side for it to drain. Yours don't look that close.

Maintenance on slides rubber seals

How do you all acess the inside and outside rubber seals to condition them? I am using the 303 on a rag and trying to push through the length of the slide.problem is the kitchen slide is so long ,making areas in the middle unaccessible.

I put two socks inside one sock to puff it up and then tape it to the end of an extendable painters stick. Then soak it and use that to wipe down the seal I can’t reach. With the slide brought in a little bit I lift the inside seal and then spray the inside of the outside seal. As a note I also treat the rubber seals on the outside access doors to keep them pliable.
