Slide Noisy, Is yours?

I have a 2014 Eagle Touring Edition 28.5BHDS that I bought new in March, 2014. Have had a few issues here and there, but our local dealer has been great. I have a question though. When I leave from a long weekend of camping and pull the main slide in (this is the electric slide in the middle of the camper that has the gear tooth rail under the slide, it is not a schwintech) it makes a loud pop. It sounds like the rubber slide seals are sticking to something. It just makes me think of that. So I looked under the slide today and there is a rubber wiper seal that appeared damaged. Does anybody else have a sticky sounding pop every time they go to pull the slide in? It is not real loud, but definitely noticeable. Any thoughts, inputs, suggestions woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Had that happen on our old Designer bedroom slide. The joint for the gasket joined in the center under the slide and had a large glob of stuff at the joint. The joint broke loose and was sticking to the slide and ended up tearing the gasket. It was out of warranty and had the dealer install a new slide. I would have your dealer replace the gasket while it is still under warranty.

As you can see from my sig, we have a 2011 28.5RLS. Our slide makes some noise as it is retracted, but nothing I would attribute to a seal sticking. Since your trailer is new, obviously the seal should not have any damage. You might check to see that when retracted the slide is retracted fairly evenly and that the seal is sealed against the side of the trailer. When open, the interior seal should be pressed against the surface of the interior wall.

Maybe your dealer should take a look at it.

The dealer replaced the gasket only not the slide. Sorry for the poor typing
