Slide not working HELP Northpoint 310RLS

First day on 3 day journey to Arizona for 3 months and the slide on the refrigerator/ston stopped working after it went out about 2 inches. The other two slide work just fine. We checked fuses, we tried the wall panel and phone app to put it out and it doesnt work. Any suggestions?

Since u have a phone app u must have a slimrack. I have schwintec. Sounds like a breaker or fuse went out. Do a search on this website for slimrack. And post what FW u own. No one can help u if we do not know what u own.

Reset/unplug the controller which is "probably" in the basement storage compartment on the ceiling. It will probably be flashing a code.

***Did that***. Checked fuses, unhooked the batteries, unplugged it from shore power....It is now dark outside. Will try a few mor things in the morning. We are 350 miles from home. I do not feel comfortable pulling it with the slide 2 inches out. Will try a couple of dealer or repair shopes to see if they can push the slides back in as we can not find a manual over ride to put the slide in and out

If you unplug the controller is should allow you to push the slide in. Once power is removed it should unlock the brake.

If u have to drive and the slide is not moving two inches is no big deal unless it is raining out. Call Jayco first thing Monday and find out where ur controller and fuse block is. Have u checked for power at the motor? My controller is under a cabinet for my main slide and bedroom one is in basement. CB fuses are in my basement behind the back wall in basement. Like I said see if u have power at the slide motor when u push the switch, if not see if ur have power at the switch. If no power at switch probably the hidden fuse block. If u cannot move the slide driving will not be a problem just two inches out.

Anything else not working? Check the circuit breaker fuses by the batteries to see if one of them is tripped. Had that happen on a Cardinal one time and I didn’t even know those breakers existed.

Check the connector at the motor to ensure it did not get disconnected. If you can find the controller see if there are any fault codes. Should be a green and red LED light that will flash. If they are not flashing you know you have list power to controller. Another thought, did you try retract the slide?

The over ride is jumping the Control Board by running a wire from one slide motor to the other slide motor. We ended up taking it to the dealer that we purchased it from and a tec that has 25 years experience knew how to do it. We got our food out for the frig and emptied the pantry. and left the rig there so they can do the warranty work. WE would recommend Camping World in Davenport IA to anyone. They care about their customers.

Wrap the entire circumference with ratchet straps to hold it if it slides out while driving, take it slow & take it to a repair shop.

Why would you wrap the outside with ratchet straps? Cut 2X4 s and place inside. I just drove 1000 miles with no shaft holding my slide it could of fell out. Just 2X4s holding it in place.

That's the way the earlier slides locked. It was either a telescoping aluminum pole or two on top of the slide or something similar on the interior sides of the slides. Foolproof... until you forget to remove them when extending the slide. Know from experience. LOL

Well if u put a ratchet strap around ur RV to hold the slide in this will happen. You will wear the roof TPO thru. Unless u pad everything the strap touches u will be causing damage.

follow up

CW called us to tell us that once they got into the diagnostic that the board was good, it was a fuse between the board and the slide motors that blew. We had spoken with a tech from Lipert and they never once told us about it. CW in OK City that was kind enough to look at it while we were on the road also spoke with Lipert and it was never discussed a fuse. We made a decision to sell it all, CW bought the 5th wheel back from us (we took a minimal lose on it), sold the
ram 3500 Dually, made $10 k on it. We just dont have it in us anymore to crawl around on the ground to try to fix things ourselves, with all of the service dept full, you cant get maintenance preformed in a timely manner, we are done.... Safe travels y'all
