Angry Slide Roof Sagging

I first noticed the slide with the dining table and recliners was holding a lot of water when it rained. I discovered the roof was sagging about 3/4 of an inch in the middle. This slide is about 12 feet long with no support in the middle. The kitchen side slide has a pantry in the middle to support the roof.

I built a support and placed it in the middle and seem to have cured the problem. No more floods when we put the slide in, we were having to tilt the front end of the camper either up or down to drain the water off before we could put the slide in before the repair.

Has this been an issue since the 5th was new (?)...., sounds like a roof structure defect, possible moisture intrusion issue...., or someone stood on the slide roof which aren't designed to support one's weight like the main roof.

Also, based on what you described (3/4" center sag) the horizontal wiper seals over the slide roof surface can't do their job.

Didn't notice it until we were well out of warranty and yes the wiper wasn't even close until after I put the brace in. It works well now so I'm good.
