Slideouts fill with water
Has anyone got this same problem? When it rains, all 3 slideout awnings fill up with water before draining. This can not be good for the long term life of the fabric. Seems like they should be installed such that water will naturally drain off.
Is there any kind of adjustment to change the slope? I am not thrilled about going up on the roof after every rain or having to close all slides just to drain the roof.

For "towing" trailers, I've seen some folks having a small light weight aluminum ladder (secured within their under master bed storage compartment and with this ladder, they climb up the outer slide's ends. They then shove a soft beach ball between the slide's flat roof and the slides spring loaded fabric awning. Thus, making a high spot in the center of the slide's awning material. Thus, forcing the water to run down hill - off the slide's awning material.
If you have a seasonal site (or fixed position) trailer, simply create a customized "hinged" slide cover using galvanized steel strips and hard fibreglass / plastic roof sheets. Add some vertical poles to take its outer weight off the slide's outer edge, and enjoy. For more details, surf: http://www.jaycoowners.com/showthread.php?t=3006
Hope this helps...

Not that Iknow of, the awning can take some weight though, in the winter months mine fill with snow and then turn to ice, bit of a bear to get the ice out though. Once out, they are good as new.
Thinking maybe to prop one side up with something from the underside in between the awning and the slideout but, if you forget to remove said item, damage will occur when you bring the slide in. Knowing Murphys Law quite well, I just let the water build up.

Many people that worry about this stuff beach balls or an air mattress between the slideout top and the awning.. this will also reduce some of the flapping noise on windy days..

Those cheap, colorful beach balls did the trick for me. Put them between the top of the slide-out and the cover. Makes for nice drainage, just don't forget to take them out before retracking the slide. They make a big BOOM!!!
