Slides aren't working

I have a 2017 Pinnacle 37RSTS, set it level and went to move the slides out they weren't responding. The icon would not display on the control panel and the rocker switches would not work either. I disconnected shore and battery power and reconnected to try and reset the system. The app on the phone did not show the awning or slide controls either like the control panel. I checked all the fuses and breakers and they were all good. Brought the unit home and tried again with electric tester and it showed we had power at throughout the rig. I replaced the slide control box in the basement and still no luck. All other circuits are responding and working except the Slide, Awning and ceiling lights. I have an appointment in two weeks but feel it should be an easy fix but just can't locate it, and we have some major trips coming up at the end of the month we would hate to miss. Thanks in advance for any possible advise

Welcome to the Forum.

How are you checking the fuses? Have you tried replacing them with a new one?
Are you hearing the slide motor running?

Would need to check for power at the motor.

you mention replacing the control box. Any specific reason? Seems if the control box was working it would show up in the control panel even if the motor(s) were not working.

Multiple slides not working, right? And none are showing up in the control panel? Sounds like a control box issue.

Start with then basics, is there power to the controller? Loose wire on the battery disconnect?

Also check to see if any wire is shorted or broken by being under a wall panel. I had this twice. Once for the extend wire and once for the power feed to the slide. Both sloppy quality control.

Slides aren't working

This sounds about as perplexing as my recent loss of some exterior lights/camera on my 19 Eagle. Dealer diagnosed it as wiring from jay command to those items. Apparently jay command is something of a bus that everything runs from. I didn’t realize that. They said the 16 year old that wired it up at the factory did a poor job. Could be a similar issue with your slides. They ran new wire from jay command to those items and all was good again.

Double check your 12v disconnect switch (red handle) in the storage/basement area. You may have 120v everywhere, but not 12v due to switch being hit inadvertently.

Check grounds. Also, on both my units with slide outs I had to have a strong battery to run the slide outs if I wasn't hooked up to my tow vehicle or Shore power.

Modular connectors

I had that problem with my Precept. A friend who works on RVs told me to check the connection at the relay box. There was a loose modular connector that I only had to plug in and everything worked after that. I think it was 3 or 4 prong

Check Main Fuse panel and warning lights is applicable.
Then check Fuse panel under bed. And warning lights if applicable.
Then Check wires at the up down switch. Remove panel an wiggle.
Then with two people check motor for hum. If no hum and all these steps have been followed. Wire has probably been cut or shorted. Hand crank in if it is out then take to a shop. Motor or wires at this point. Almost never motor.

Rlow

There is likely a second fuse box hidden behind your switches or in the closet.

Often a wire will short out on your awning just as no closes.

Check the rocker panel switch to make sure you don't have a loose connection there. I had a ceiling fan that stopped & it turned out to be a loose wire at the switch.

Some units can have two battery disconnect switches and they must be on for slides to work. Look in compartment with battery and in compartment with water control switches.
Without being plugged into shore power do you have 12v lights?

Thank you so much - this was it!! My bathroom lights, heater, awnings and slides just suddenly had no power. I am stationary and always connected to shore power so it just didn't make sense. Turned out I accidentally bumped the "RED HANDLE" while looking for something in storage. Once I turned it- everything worked again. I had a blood pressure spike reading all the other posts about replacing wiring etc. Thank goodness I kept going to see your post. CHECK THE RED HANDLE!!
