Sofa removal and replacement

We have a 2010 Jayco 35 RLTS fifth wheel with an L-shaped sofa. It is worn out and blow up bed has always been awful. We would like to hear from anyone who has removed this sofa from this unit. It appears that there is no finished wall behind the entire sofa (only begin the bed section) and the L section seems to be attached to a half wall divider between the living are and the kitchen and that divider section also does not have a complete wall. Before we start removing this sofa - has anyone done this before. The bed section seems simple, but the other two sections are basically wooden boxes built to the walls with cushions on them. We would like to replace with just a regular sofa purchased from a furniture store rather than RV furniture. Help please!!!

We have the same floorplan in our 351RLTS. We have also wondered some alternate arrangement if we ever have to replace it. Ours is not worn out but we have only used the blow up bed a few times and now it's less likely, so we could get a sleeper or even do without it altogether and go with a lighter sofa.

We thought about having it recovered also.

It sounds like the sofa you are describing is very similar to mine (and norty’s) tho my 5th is a ‘13. In my case the wall behind the long section was finished. The half-wall was only partially finished, the part that was visible.
We never liked the thing to sit on and our son n DIL complained abt sleeping on it.
It’s now gone. Removal was pretty easy. IIRC it was not screwed to the floor at all but the “L” piece was screwed to the half-wall which seemed to keep everything in place. I opened the bed, removed the air mattress and started removing bolts. The seat backs were held in place with spring clips and removable once I got it away from the wall. As you suspect the “L” piece is basically a wood box. I was prepared to use a sawzall to make small pieces out of it but at the end of the day it came apart in small enough pieces to be handled by 2 people and went out the door, once out it went to the curb. I’ve replaced it with a 3 recliner Thomas Payne theater seating sofa. I left it free floating for about a year and the current project is to secure it to the slide floor.

The pix are the bare wall, the paneling I installed and the new sofa (minus the seat backs)

Ours is comfortable but I would miss the pull out storage under the sleeper.

Yes, the big drawer is nice but we found places for those things. New seating vs storage loss is an indication of how much we disliked it.
