Solar Controller

Does anybody know where they install the solar controller on the 2022 28.5 RSTS? I can't seem to find it! Thank you!

If your unit came with solar is should have been in the entry hallway just above the control panel for everything else. If it just came "solar ready" like mine it doesn't come with a solar controller, you have to add it yourself. Supposedly the wiring is all in the wall just above the main control panel. Hope this helps...

Thank you for the help! Yes, mine came with solar already installed. The controller isn't in the entry hallway unless it's behind a panel somewhere.

The other place to check would be down by the battery compartment. Good luck…

Did it come with solar panels installed or Solar Ready? If the latter, Sollar Ready basically means wiring is in place, you will need to install panels, charge controller, and monitoring.

Thank you kirkelli for your reply, yes, it came with the panels and everything installed. They just don't tell you where the controller is installed!

Do you view the solar status in the main BMPro application? If so I would look for the controller in the basement near the jack controller and where the BMPro node is located. There was an update a little while ago to add support for rv-c solar controllers, wondering if you have one?

Thank you! I don't see it near the jack controller, I'm going to look closer tomorrow. The inverter is right near the jack controller. According to the Bmpro panel I do have the Go Power 30 AMP RVC-MPPT
Solar Controller

I’m thinking your BMP monitors the controller and your controller is stashed behind your circuit panel. You can check by removing 4 screws and sliding your circuit panel or removing the panel in your basement. There is going to be a ton of room in there to stash things… how many batteries did yours come with.

The dealer installed 1 battery, I just replaced that battery with 1 lithium battery. I did set the solar controller to lithium through the Bmpro panel. Just doesn't seem to be charging the lithium battery. I'm still doing some troubleshooting which will continue tomorrow.

You need to change the battery type setting on your convertor inside the fuse panel as well.

Thank you, did that also. The weather hasn't been great here, I think tomorrow I'll finally have a chance to bring it home and do some troubleshooting!

Thanks for prompting me Learjet. I haven't really looked for the solar controller after Battleborn told me the AGM setting would work just fine, and it has ever since I switched to that setting. I still wonder why the lithium setting isn't working though! I'll be looking into that soon!
